Canine Nutrition Consultations

As humans we are aware of how important it is to eat a diet consisting of a variety of fresh raw whole foods to help keep us healthy and strong. This is the very same with dogs, they also require fresh raw foods to help them remain healthy and disease free.

Foods in their raw state provide the nutrition needed in a way that is easily absorbed and utilized by the body. The nutrients in fresh raw foods are easily recognizable to the body, if however those nutrients have been cooked (processed) the body has a hard time figuring out what they are. The nutrients in whole foods work synergistically in the body.

Raw food diets for our dogs don’t have to be complicated or confusing.
Biologically raw food diets normally consist of raw meaty bones (either whole or minced), muscle meat, organs/offal, small amount of fruit and vegetable and natural food based supplements to add even more nutrition to the diet or to target a specific issue.

Every dog is unique and will require a customised diet plan to suit their needs and requirements. My goal is to help your dog be happy and healthy on a raw food diet. The first consultation with me will be very in depth so that I can gain a good understanding about your dog and their nutritional needs and requirements.

I can provide assistance with the following:

  • Transitioning to a Raw food diet (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food Diet)
  • Allergies or intolerance’s (food or environmental)
  • Skin problems – rashes, hot spots, itchy and/or dry skin
  • Digestive issues – constipation, diarrhea, IBD
  • Obesity and diabetes
  • Arthritis – degenerative joint disease

  • And more……..

The benefits of a species appropriate diet for your dog are:

  • Improved digestion
  • Healthier coat and skin
  • Better dental health
  • Firmer stools
  • Easier to manage weight
  • Stronger immune system
  • Improvement in mobility
  • Better dog breath

  • Reducing the risks of cancer and other diseases

As Hippocrates said ‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’.
